Initial Evaluation

The initial evaluation will determine your child's current gross abilities, develop a plan of care, including family-oriented goals, and provide your family with treatment options. The length of the evaluation will depend on the specific concerns, the assessments that need to be performed, and the child's ability to follow directions, but is commonly around 60 minutes long.

After the evaluation, if treatments are recommended, a plan will be established for the frequency and length of sessions.  Generally, treatments occur in a weekly, bimonthly, or monthly fashion depending on the needs of the child and the family's comfort with carryover.  The length of treatments will commonly be from 45-60 minutes depending on the child's tolerance.
